Behind the Scenes- by LynnAnn Hyde

LeEtta is one of our newest Board Of Directors members and in her
short time on the Board, she has already stepped up and made a
difference!
LeEtta is originally from the Northwest, but lived in California for many years before returning to her roots. "I felt I never fit in", LeEtta said, "... a real good friend who is also very active in the CBA helped me make up my mind to move to Vancouver, WA". LeEtta joined the CBA a year ago, but has been a CBA volunteer since moving here in '99.
LeEtta Clark is from a musical family and credits her mother for giving her a love for the Blues. "She listened to Jimmy Reed, Bessie Smith, John Lee Hooker, and so many other Blues singers..." LeEtta remembers her first 8-track tape was of BB King. "My mom was actually glad when the tape broke, she was so tired of listening to the same BB recording!"
LeEtta feels that the CBA membership is the "friendliest and most eclectic bunch of people I have ever met!" and hopes to not only see the CBA keep up the good work, but help us to achieve our goals.
LeEtta has helped with many of our benefit concerts, and helped me a lot at the BIS April event. She has also devoted many hours to tedious paper work and other office stuff that is difficult. LeEtta designed some great sponsorship forms for donations to BIS and also worked hard to get the word out about our BIS programs.
I am always amazed at the generosity of our members and Board members, past and present. Ms. Clark is more than amazing and it is a great honor for me to write her profile for the rest of our membership. She is thankful to the Board "for their patience" and even more thankful to the membership for their love and support of the Blues. I am just thankful we have someone like LeEtta working so hard for us!
Until the Next Time

Note:
Since the resignation of BOD Membership Secretary, Gerri
Cheshire, in July, the CBA BOD has elected LeEtta
as Acting CBA Membership Secretary. All membership inquires should be
directed to her.
