I make my living feeling rotten, But I feel good when I play the blues! Johnny Winter, "World Of Contradictions" |
August, 2004
Kenny Neal will play a free Street Dance in Hood River on Monday evening, August 16th from 7 to 10 pm (all ages). The location is on 1st Street between State & Oak. The show is provided by the HR Downtown Business Association and they invite everyone to come on out to Hood River and get some “Bayou Boogie” from Bluesman Kenny Neal.
This year marks the 25th year the Oregon Zoo has been promoting music concerts at the Zoo, and again this year, there is loads of great music scheduled throughout the rest of the summer. On Sunday, August 15th, both Buddy Guy and Robert Cray will be on the same bill for a premium concert. That’s two living Blues legends on the same bill -- nothing more need be said about the caliber of these Bluesmen - they’ve done it all and are the “real deal!” Remember to check out the Zoo’s Web site for all the shows still coming in August. The Zoo’s Amphitheatre opens at 5 pm, concerts begin at 7 pm.

Artist Photos If you performed
at the Waterfront Blues Festival, the Acoustic
Roots & Blues Heritage Festival, or any number of other NW
Blues events, chances are you were caught on film by Chuck
McDougle. He has thousands of photos, many of them suitable for PR
purposes. Chuck has generously donated
his time and finances toward getting these pictures into the hands of the
artists, with no strings attached! He also is motivated toward getting his
photos to interested fans, media, etc. Some of the photos are unique candid
shots, showing performers getting ready to go onstage, standing in a crowd,
or leaning against a wall. Most are of blues performers onstage. If you're
interested, here's how you can contact Chuck:
