Steve "The Squrl" Curley

     Steve "The Squrl" Curley is host of Squrl's Blues Review, on-air every Friday Night from 8:00 - Midnight on KMCQ   FM  104.5 in Hood River, OR.    Squrl has been a radio programmer for eight years.  His main focus is on the Blues, but he does incorporate an eclectic mix of American Roots music (Soul, Zydeco, Gospel, Bluegrass) into his play list.  (Squrl publishes his play list online at the KMCQ website.)  

    Squrl has been instrumental in booking and promoting outstanding  Blues and related acts at the Hood River Hotel for over ten years.  It is due to his proactive stance on booking and promoting fine national and regional acts that his monthly events at the Hood River Hotel are so very successful, and much appreciated by Blues lovers in the Pacific Northwest.

    Some other areas of interest to Squrl are: 

• Blues In Schools program: Squrl has booked many educational  presentations with top acts, including Zydeco, Latin, and Blues. 

• Big Brother: Squrl is an active mentor in the Big Brother program. 

• American Red Cross: Squrl is an active donor, and also has helped to advertise and co-ordinate blood drives.

• Cascade Blues Association: Squrl is a Supporting Member of the CBA!!!
