It's that time of year once again. The Journey To Memphis Competition is now open and the CBA is taking applications from all interested Blues bands and Blues solo acts in Oregon and S W Washington. This will be our fourth year sending a band to Memphis for the Blues Foundation's International Blues Challenge. The winner of the CBA's Journey To Memphis Competition will receive $500 and the opportunity to win over $20,000 in cash and more while in Memphis. The applicants must not be signed to a major label. There can be no ringers. And, you must be willing to represent the CBA in Memphis in the International Blues Challenge in February of 2003.
If you or your band are interested, please send a short bio of the band and all members, photo of the band, and a tape or CD of your music to the address below. Upon receiving your application, a packet will be sent to you with the rules of both the CBA competition and the Blues Foundation competition, dates of the CBA play-offs, the date of the International Blues Challenge, and other general information.
Please note that your application must be postmarked no later than July 16, 2002. Any applications postmarked after that date will not be accepted!
