Thanks to the talents and efforts of our BOD, the membership drive was a huge success. LeEtta Clark, Rose Allen, Greg Johnson, Jackson Lee, Jan Bisconer, Linda Clark, Terry Odor, Ken Condit, Del Seitzenger and Mercedes Cruz were all out in force to support the venues and artists who are supporting our CBA. Good job, guys!
Welcome to new and returning members. The response to our membership drive was phenomenal, adding many more like-minded folks to our numbers. What a great feeling, and what a great job LeEtta and Rose did with the promotional and administrative jobs that go along with a focused effort like a membership drive. Things are really looking good for us as a group, and this Board has a lot to do with that.
Along those lines, several members have suggested to me that they would be more actively supporting "live Blues" acts if the shows started earlier. With the sort of numbers we have as a group, there should be no problem getting club owners and managers to start the entertainment earlier in the evening if our members support it through attendance. It is certainly a good idea to approach the club managers if we are sincere about supporting venues with an earlier show time. Let's see what we can do as a group!
