Texas Blues-Rock Guitar Virtuoso Returns to Portland Area
For One Show on Friday, June 7th at 9:30 p.m.

The Trail's End Saloon in Oregon City has been bringing in great local and regional Blues acts on the weekends for quite some time. We're talkin' the "cream of the crop" of players out there (just check their calendar any month and you'll see what I'm talkin' about). Plus, they are presenting one of the premier Blues jams in the area on Sunday nights.

From time to time, The Trail's End Saloon will also host a touring national Blues act as they make their way through the Northwest. And, in early June, Texas Blues-Rocker and one of Portland's favorite out-of-town electric Blues guitarists, Bugs Henderson, makes his way back to the region for a smokin' night of Blues, Texas style! Bugs Henderson and his band The Shuffle Kings will lay forth their raucous brand of fireworks at the Trail's End on Friday evening, June 7^th, starting at 9:30 p.m.

Bugs Henderson is a guitar virtuoso. Guitar Player Magazine said, "The man's a national treasure. To hear Bugs Henderson play live is to hear the history of American electric guitar performed with love, balls and a lot of wacky humor. Touring for over three decades has honed the Texan's chops and forged his improbable, turn-on-a-dime, hot-rod style." The Times Colonist said, "...imagine a skin-peeling, string-bending style composed of Danny Gatton's fleet-fingered Rockabilly Jazz synthesis, Dick Dale and the surf guitar groups' spices, and Jimi Hendrix's flash and daring..."

Yes, Bugs is a very special guitarist indeed — more of a guitar package, if you will. He plays heavy on the Rock side of music, but his roots, like most great Rock music, is in the Blues.

His 1994 effort, "Daredevils Of The Red Guitar", is a genuine masterpiece, a guitar lover's "must have" recording. It truly runs the gamut taking you all the way back to the "twang" of Duane Eddy (circa 1959).

Henderson is the consummate performer. His singing is super, but make no mistake about it: Bugs Henderson's guitar is what sings the sweetest! This show looks to be an extraordinary evening of music; one you're not gonna want to miss!
