Presenting the 4th Annual... Blues By The Sea Near Astoria in Hammond, OR Friday & Saturday, September 20th & 21st, 2002

    Thank you to all who voted for Blues By The Sea in 2001 for a Muddy Award!

    The 2002 Festival is already coming right up in September, so it's time to start making your plans! We have a fantastic lineup this year: J.R. Sims & Texas Special, the Robbie Laws Band, Ty Cobb & The Jukes, The Stingers, Sistershake, the Hudson Rocket Band, Junkyard Jane, Too Slim & The Taildraggers and Duffy Bishop. This is a camping weekend that you don't want to miss!

    This year, instead of bringing in a portable stage, we will use the stage in the center of the campground. This will make it so a number of tent, cabin and RV campers will be able to enjoy the show from their campsites. Also, we will be moving the after-Festival Jam to the Red Lion in Astoria. We will provide a shuttle on Saturday night to the Red Lion, but not after the festival on Friday night. To book a room at the Red Lion, call 503-325-7373.

    Other welcome additions are Pacific Seafood, who will be cooking up a storm, and Port Halling who will offer finger-lickin' ribs all weekend long. Again this year, we will be doing the food barrels for The Clatsop County Food Fund. The Festival T-shirt sales again will benefit KOA KIDS CANCER CAMP. There will also be a donation jar for the American Red Cross. This is a family event, so bring the whole family. We have a swimming pool, hot tub, game room, bike rentals (miles and miles of bike trails), basketball courts, horseshoes, volleyball court, playground, the beach and much more.
