Clinics

That's right folks, the Third Sunday Clinics are coming back this Fall! We will be able to give you more information regarding the clinics, the locations, and the artist presenters who will be hosting them in the near future. These clinics are designed to promote and preserve Blues music in a real hands-on way, and in the past they've been very successful, well-attended events.
We have to realize, however, that these clinics don't materialize out of thin air. It takes money to put them together, and we do need to ask for some help from the CBA membership. At each monthly CBA meeting, I'll be passing around a donation can earmarked for the clinics. The spare change we collect at each meeting will go to the artist for that month's clinic. Also, for each clinic I will bring a P.A. and sign-in sheet, and generally be a gopher for the host that month. There are so many great musicians in the area that we have a veritable cornucopia of talent to offer. We hope to have some clinics regarding recording, marketing and promotions, too. So look forward to more hands-on stuff to keep the Blues alive and well in Portland!
