3rd Sunday Clinic with Jack Cook
Coming Up October 20th!

Grab your spot at the Candlelight Café and Bar, Noon - 1:30 p.m.

October 20th Clinic Leader Jack Cook
Thanks to our membership at the September Membership Meeting, we raised $46 toward the upcoming 10/20 clinic! We also raised a few bucks at the picnic and I will ask for donations at the October meeting. All of the donated funds will be split to help pay for Jack Cook and Alan Hager, our first and second clinic hosts (Alan will be hosting the 11/17 clinic.)

There will be a small fee to attend each clinic ($5 per person), and that money will also be paid to the respective hosts of each workshop.

Jack Cook is one of the most talented Resophonic and traditional slide and finger-style guitarists in the Northwest. He learned his craft studying directly from Blues greats Bukka White, Sleepy John Estes and many others during the early '70s. Jack has toured Europe a number of times and he has been a session player on numerous NW recordings. Jack Cook has a Web site at: www.phantomsofsoul.com, and there is a ton of great information about Jack personally and his many recordings and performance dates. You will definitely want to click on Jack's photo gallery and check out some pictures of Jack with Bukka White!

It is a real honor for our Third Sunday Clinic to offer Jack Cook as our first host! You can show your love for the Blues simply by attending on October 20th, at noon. Don't forget that the Candlelight has a fantastic lunch menu and a full service bar.

I'll see ya there!
