Trail's End Saloon

You know, it's absolutely a wonderful situation having one of the finest independent Blues labels located right here in the Rose City. Because of Burnside Records, we often get treated to appearances by its vast wealth of talented musicians — and not only local performers, but those of international recognition as well.

And a treat is exactly what is in store for everyone as Rod Price makes his way back to town for a special engagement on Saturday, October 12th, at The Trail's End Saloon. For more than three decades, Rod has been known for his blazing slide guitar work, as a member of the iconic Rock band Foghat, and also as a solo musician. Count on being treated to Rod's deep repertoire, including selections from his most current Burnside release, Open, as well as songs from the forthcoming CD, West Four."This performance is destined to set one of the area's most favored roadhouses afire. And to make certain that the flame burns brightly, Rod has chosen to back himself with an all-star lineup of Portland Blues talent: bassist Dave Kahl, guitar master Chris Carlson, Jeff Minnick on drums, and the keyboard finesse of Dover Weinberg. Hope that you have air conditioning in your car when you leave, because this show is going to leave you in a sweat!

The Trail's End Saloon is located at 1320 Main St., in Oregon City (503-656-3031). This is a CBA co-sponsored event. All card-carrying members will receive a $1 discount at the door.
