The Cascade Tavern in nearby Vancouver has been bringing in great local and regional Blues acts on the weekends for quite some time. We're talkin' the "cream of the crop" players (just check their ad on page 6 of the BluesNotes any month and you'll see).
Now The Cascade Tavern, which only featured beer & wine previously, is licensed to serve hard liquor and features a full bar. With the acquisition of the liquor license, The Cascade Tavern has changed it's name to The Cascade Bar & Grill, but to all the regulars and the Blues fans who frequent the establishment, it's simply known as "The Cascade"!
Name change aside, the NEW owner Mike from Boom Crickets! will benefit from the extensive remodeling performed by the previous owners. Mike is committed to having one of the warmest and friendliest Blues bars in the Northwest, and they are proving it with positive efforts and a great attitude. The Cascade Bar & Grill is an extraordinary place to eat, enjoy a beverage of your choice and see and hear some of the finest Blues acts playing in the area!
The Cascade Bar & Grill is easily accessible from Portland by driving across the 1-205 Bridge north to the Mill Plain exit (in Vancouver), then driving East about two miles; it'll be on your left.
