James Harman Appearing At Duff’s Garage - Oct 26, 09

James Harman may live in California, but he’ll be the first to tell you he is not a West Coast blues artist. Rather he was raised in Alabama and he found his love for the genre while still a young man living there. But regardless of his thoughts of being a West Coast bluesman, he certainly is one of the absolutely best at his craft not only in the region, but throughout the country. A superb songwriter, harmonica player and a master at stage presence. The man captures you from the get-go on stage, with his clever word associations, lyrics, harp work and all around good time.
There have been numerous visits to our area by James Harman and why not? He is extremely well-loved by the fans in the Portland area. And a good friend of the Cascade Blues Association. He will be back our way on Monday, October 26th, at Duff’s Garage (1635 SE 7th) for a 9:00 pm show. And if that was not enough of a draw, James has been reunited with his former guitar player Nathan James for what it certainly be a spectacular showcase of the two extraordinary musicians playing off of one another.
This is a CBA co-sponsored event. Tickets are $10 at the door, but CBA members can show their membership cards and receive a $1 discount. 21 & older only please.
