|
| The bio on Sammy Lawhorn is slighty incorrect. His stepfathers name is Ferman Gilbert. Sam has 1 sister Margret, 3 brothers Ferman Gilbert Jr., who plays bass guitar, Michael Gilbert who Plays lead guitar and Paul Gilbert who plays Drums. at an early age Sammy would take his three brothers to theresa's lounge and with Muddy's permission would let them sit in on some of the band's sets. I just wanted to get the record straight! Thank you. Paul Gilbert. |

Thank you Mr. Gilbert. I was going to ask the webmaster to make this correction to the article, but I see he has already done so. I am unsure if I still have the notes I collected when putting this article together (so many years back), otherwise I would direct you to my source material so they, too, could be corrected. I appreciate your letting us know so we can make sure the correct information is presented.

What a tremendous guitar player. Can still hear him in my mind's ear with Muddy in Chicago, or with Koko Taylor at Sack's in Portland and Murphy's in Eugene. _________________ Shoe |
